ABOUT THE GAME

Project Avatar is an out-of-this-world one-off game that is different from everything you’ve ever played online.

It is a fusion of escape room, video game, and a live theatrical performance where players help the game hero in real-time in a real location.

The game takes place via Zoom. You and your team of players control the character Avatar, played by an actor on a real-world remote location, with voice commands. Avatar’s every movement and action in the game depends solely on your decisions.

The online game Project Avatar has all the attributes of an offline escape room, except that the goal is not to escape. The game’s purpose is to get maximum points while competing for the mission you have been given. You collect points by finding the artifacts and solving the hidden logical puzzles.

About Us

We are a Ukrainian company. And we have been doing the escape room business since 2014.

In 2020, we launched our first online project and received recognition from players on the Western and European markets.

Less than half a year later, the game took 9th place in the world’s best online escape room ranking and received other top awards such as: «the best online game», «innovation of the year», «the best innovative project of the year», etc.

THE STORY BEHIND AVATAR

When creating Project Avatar, we took inspiration from real-life escape room style games, science fiction novels by Stanislav Lem, and dystopian TV shows such as “Black Mirror” and “Love Death & Robots.”

However, we believe that our game is most similar to the 2009 movie “Gamer,” in which the online game players can control other people’s actions.

Drawing on these inspirations, we created a unique live stream escape adventure that has never been seen in the games’ world community. Project Avatar is a novelty on the entertainment market, with its gameplay taking place on actual locations and city streets.

        Avatar phase one

You start at the first floor of the pawn shop. Avatar's half-human half-duck best friend Utya Duck is the traveler across realities. Unfortunately, he got stuck in an alternate reality due to the malfunction of his plane. He just cannot get home without repairing it. To reach his reality safely, Utya Duck needs to fix the aircraft by collecting artifacts from a pawn shop of Chickman, who does not like anyone around his property. Utya Duck cannot do this by himself because he has a deeply-rooted panic fear of chickens, so he calls his friend Avatar to the rescue. Avatar has to collect artifacts for the plane from a danger-filled pawn shop and save his friend.

        Avatar phase two

You start at the basement of the pawn shop. Avatar battle mode

First team starts on the ground floor and the second team starts in the basement of the pawn shop. The games take place in real-time on Zoom. Our technical team makes sure that the game goes smoothly for you. You are the voice in the head of our main character, Avatar, and you get to control his every action, from game-relevant movements to dancing, jumping, or playing around. The difference from the Avatar Stalker Mode is that the two teams are rivals to each other. Each team controls its own version of Avatar, and there are two of them in the game. After you have solved the puzzles and collected the coins, you get to disarm another team's Avatar with the help of a grenade at the end of the game. Your goal is to collect more coins than the rival team without losing all three lives of your character.

The secret of the Mystery Hotel

We invite you to become guests of our Mystery Hotel.
It was always cozy here: his owner was always bringing interesting souvenirs for the interior. And the meticulous receptionist maintained the perfect order of things. But everything changed one day when a magical artifact from one of the owner`s trips appeared here. Strange things began to happen in the hotel after that.
Only you can discover what's going on here.
But don't worry, you won't be left alone in this strange place. Your Avatar will be here for you as always. With your voice commands, he will be able to go through all the rooms, solving the hidden logical puzzles, and find the cause of trouble.

        Curse of the beast

She fell in love with the hotel owner. But he didn't reciprocate her, and he cast a curse on him.
He began to turn into a bear, every night he slowly turned into a bear. One day he completely disappeared.
There are rumors that the witch enchanted one of the hotel rooms and made a transition from it to her hut on the outskirts of the village. She closed the bear there.
You, braves, are asked to check this hut and save the hotel owner.
There is one brave man who will go there with you. This is your Avatar. He will listen to your voices and do what you will tell him to do. His every movement and action depends solely on your decisions. With his help, you will discover this place. Together you can go through this.
